Hi all,
Not sure if anyone here will have a good gauge, but my father in law has been United Global Service (360 equivalent) for 10 years now, 2MM, etc. with United but is moving such that his new home will mean he's much closer to LGA and JFK, so is considering a switch to Delta (the extra ~45 min to an hour to get to EWR will add up over the year). Has anyone ever heard of Delta doing some sort of special status match/challenge to capture high spenders from its competitors, specifically either to 360 or to something with a chance to earn 360 on an expedited path?
He will reach out to Delta soon, but before doing so figured we'd see if anyone has heard of something similar!

I’ve been a Delta 360 for quite a few years now, and have never heard of a status match to 360 or an expedited path to 360. My guess is they do not. Delta’s current medallion match would place him as a Platinum. But, doesn’t hurt to ask. Worst case he reaches out and they say “no”. I hope your father-in-law enjoys the move.
