I was at NM the other day...
The platforms are labelled, but with the recent track and station works, the trains do not necessarily pull into the labelled platform.
You have to look at the digital boards:

Which does not list the line number, and direction, but only the terminus.
So in the above example...first train to Parla at Platform 8 which is departing now works (C4 soutband). The 2nd one Colmenar C4B northbound) no, 3rd one Cercedilla C8 no, 4th one to PP-Villalba in 4min works but no platform assigned yet. It's a bit like LHR T5 with a good guess of gate assignment, but you have to keep watching the screens.
So is it possible, of course, I suggested it earlier. But factoring the need to first having to use (and pay for) the metro, why not just take the direct airport express bus....
