Pardon my ignorance but is it really relevant what the EU/UK availability is looking like? This ticket is now ex HKG if you change it with BA in HKG then surely they would look at what their local A availability is and not discriminate between tickets bought in different geographical locations?
How right you are !!! It had never ocurred to me that the lunacy of the sytem might allow one to ring another office and take the seats out of their allocation albeit that they had not issued the ticket. BA London were able to give me what BA Lisbon could not as they have plenty of A class availability.
