If someone already has an Alaska card then they are likely needing to spend $6000 for a companion fare. By paying rent with AS card for that amount you can put that spend on a better category earning card. Shouldn't we then consider that in the same way we considered what we "could've" earned using the Bilt card?
With Bilt rent payment of $6000 and minimum $6000 AS card spent that's $12000 for:
6000 Bilt points
At most 18000 AS Miles, at least 6000
With AS rent payment of $6000 and minimum $6000 spent using say Chase category cards earning x2-10 that's $12000 for:
18000 AS Miles
At least 12000 UR points, at most 60000
On the same spend you just came out with at least the same amount of AS Miles and at least 6000 more points you could transfer to Hyatt.
Am I thinking about this wrong?
