Would purchasing a ticket to Millbrae give you a legal justification to get off at the airport and hop the fare gates? A moral one?
The BART ticket machines deduct the fare at the exit gate.
So if you exit at SFO, you will be charged $10.55.
Hopping the fare gate would be seen by the agent in the booth and the video cameras, resulting in the prompt arrival of the BART Police, perhaps expedited by other passengers calling them at 510.464.7000.
