We checked our suitcases which were carry on size anyway but we usually take our backpacks as our carry on. The woman said they would not fit and we had to check them .. they did not charge us. Our friends had the same bags. Not only did they bring thier back packs but they also brought on their suitcases. Both items fit in the overhead. We were steaming.
So that said, I know its a different airline and we would like to fly with just the carry on with our next trip with Jet blue so I am just wondering is this a similar situation where a bag one or two inches more would still easily fit in the over head. I hate to spend 160 round trip for the two of us if the bags can fit.
Has anyone brought on a Jet blue flight a bag a bit bigger than the dimensions listed and its been ok? As I said my bag is 22 by 24 by 10 maybe 11. They say 22 by 14 by 9.
I have never seen Jetblue put a bag in that size device to see if it fits. I have seen bags that I knew were bigger than the dimensions and nobody blinked an eye.
