The CIC offers Mondial Assistance with their Gold card. The reviews and testimonies about them are frightening. There seems to be a pattern of bad behaviour on their part (not just a one off mishandled case).

I have to admit that reviews on Europe Assistance are no better (and it was what ALL-Visa was offering)...

The 2 mains things which matter to me are:

- car rental excess coverage
- travel assistance (hospital costs, repatriation etc...).

Other than Fortuneo (no way I will subscribe to an Amex again!), what are your thoughts, experience or knowledge with Insurance companies?

- as an alternative, I could subscribe to an Insurance product for each trip outside the EU. But the insurance companies are the same, aren't they?
