I've never originated from GIG but it should not matter: your bags will be checked all the way through to IAD. G3 should not collect a fee but sometimes does. And don't be surprised if a G3 agent tries to weigh your carryon bag but usually if flying int'l, esp in J, you should not be targeted. Contact Customer Care if any fees collected. Coda: you will have access to Espaco Banco Safra lounge (previously, a *A lounge), but if you have AMEX Plat, go to its lounge instead unless it is super busy (which it should be at that time of night) or you want to take a shower (since *G does not confer shower access but J does).
