I think it should be cut to CE - then ET with status - then ET without status, 3 groups with perhaps Pre-Boards, and get rid of this overwrought, overthought circus.
Even though I benefit from Group 0 when it works, I wouldn't object if the system was simplified to half the current number.
The main problems in my experience are:
a) execution - this ranges from allowing/encouraging multiple groups to queue together (what's the point?), calling groups together etc. to poor assignment of tensabarrier space.
b) failure to reject those whose group have not been called - there should be an exit route where those whose group has not been called are directed if they reach the front, with those behind them swiftly called forward - other airlines manage this.
c) uneven distribution of customers - decide whether cabin trumps status or vice versa and stick to it. I'd suggest that status trumps cabin, so G0 GGL/Prem, G1 Gold / F, G2 CE / CW / Silver, G3 WTP / Bronze and G4-9 as required for WT/ET. CE in Group 1 seems to be the problem here.
