Agreed but as it was explained at the time of introduction, the system had restrictions and wasn’t able at the time to reduce the number of groups based on aircraft size. The result is that they worked based on what was required for largest aircraft and that was applied to all. Realistically you only need groups 7-9 on A380 and group 6 on other long hauls. Prior to the current groups, it only went to group 5 but the general view was that there were to many people in groups 4 and 5, which on long haul was correct.
