I think historically, HKD 2500 would've been be on the lower end for the GH. I remember several stories (from private groups a decade+ ago) of people trying to use an unusually low corporate code, like 50% savings, of HKD 1800 and being refused. I believe one of the esteemed members on this very thread even had an ID card done up at a print shop in Wanchai. Back in the day, I would have considered something around HKD 3000 normal for the GH, and 1500-1800 for HR TST. I think rates in HK have declined in general, except for a few high demand dates. The Regent, for instance, routinely runs around HKD 3000. I'm sure they weren't planning on charging less than the IC did prior to the renovation. I could offer speculation into the causes of these lower rates, but it would be OT for this thread.
