I do like that there are the hotel specific threads however. I will always search for a hotel to read up on it before staying there.

I follow the forum, and get emails when a new thread is started. If its about a hotel, I delete it. If its about the program I click through and decide if I want to follow. Then I read only the threads I am following.

It is pretty easy to set things up to work for the way you like it, it is just always a work in process.
My approach is similar. I follow broader program trends, and the property-specific threads for properties I have stayed at or may stay at in the future. I credit the established/trusted posters in this forum for steering me clear of some bad properties. For example, I perused the London threads for quite some time and got a lot of great information there on which properties to consider and which to avoid. I will use TripAdvisor for limited data points--and sometimes photos--but I find this community to be a much higher level of accuracy. Agree that the way it is set up now, it's pretty easy to subscribe/follow things that interest you.
