The other consideration is if you are flying transpacific J monthly for an extended period, that kind of spend likely puts you in the ballpark for each carrier's invitation only top tier status (Global Services on UA, Concierge Key on AA, possibly 360 on DL). Some people prefer to eschew that in favor of the foreign carriers with better service, for me it would depend on how much other US domestic flying you intend to do where the benefits of that top tier can really help you.
