Can you make sense of the terms of service for the 25% rebate? I got that same one and just earned my first award, but I can't quite figure out what counts? It says it has to be on UA, but it seems like as long as one segment is UA that counts? Is this a rebate on the itinerary or just one way? It also says something about having people on your reservation, but I'm confused how that works, too.

For the sake of argument, let's say I fly with a companion LAX-SFO (on UA) to MUC (on LH) and back the same way. Does that take 1, 2, or 4 rebate credits? Am I getting 25% back on everything or just the LAX-SFO portion?
