Kinda random, but Condor has a smattering of sub-$2k or near-$2k RT fares in Business in July and August. Condor Business gets you 200% EQM on Alaska and 300% actual Alaska Mileage Plan miles, so I always like scanning around for their interesting and cheap Condor long-haul flights (even though I don't have time to do any of these particular trips myself, alas). The cheapest origins seem to be CUN, MSP, BWI, and a some Canadian cities such as YYC, YEG, YYZ, and maybe YVR.
Examples:
CUN-FRA RT for $1,739 would net 21,424 Alaska EQM (very limited dates at this price, but more around $2,100)
YYC-FRA RT for $1,945 would net 18,768 Alaska EQM, and very similar stuff for
YEG-FRA
YYZ-FRA RT for $1,920 would net 15,812 Alaska EQM
BWI-FRA RT for $2,060 would net 16,156 Alaska EQM
MSP-FRA RT for $2,070 would net 17,572 Alaska EQM
YVR-FRA RT for $1,728 would net 20,100 Alaska EQM, though this fare only shows up with some OTAs I've never heard of, so I'm not sure if it would actually book.
As far as I can see, going in the other direction (from Frankfurt) works too, with similar or cheaper prices.
The CUN one is kind of neat, since it would net you a tier's worth of Alaska status in one go, and at least 32k miles banked (or more, if you already have AS status).
