As a platinum, I've never not gotten a suite at Sheraton in 20 years of staying there - you just have to ask for a non-harbour view room. For me, the size, location and price makes it superior to GH.

The HR's location and price is also better for me than GH. I'm value driven and I don't see the value premium of GH. I usually get suites at HR too.

Now that one can have full buffet at HR, makes that place even more appealing. ive always just gotten club breakfast which was so so for me - full breakfast might make me stay at HR over the Marriotts. I love the Sheraton's breakfast but hate the club (haven't been to New one).

I've also gotten a suite every time except once at JW. I won't argue that JW is better than GH at same price point but I have fond memories of the JW, more than of GH. In fact, I'd often stay at JW or Sheraton even when keynoting an event at GH. Better service as I wrote about on the JW thread.

Renaissance is awful.

GH is not a bad hotel. Not at all. I just don't see the price justification when you mix so so hardware with meh service and a bad location
