If some of the big legal words and concepts being thrown around in this thread were applicable in real life, this entire website and message board would have shut down years ago by the feds and many of us dragged off to grand jury land for any number of violations of dozens of "contracts agreed to at time of purchase"

My "intent" is to work the system for maximum value and personal gain - and if that means roughhousing some T+Cs along the way, I don't think many long term members here should be able to claim absolute innocence like they've never done it before with any travel vendor.

So how many folks here have seen a $500 Europe or Asia business class mistake fare in the premium fares forum and crossed their arms and said "on principle, I shall defer in defense of the integrity of the corporation which I admire and not take advantage of such an offer".

We should be guiding new posters around the best practices for alternative ticket pricing methods with the lowest risk, and pointing out risky behaviors that could have dire consequences rather than bat around dubious legal theories without much chance of real world applicability.

I for one, am curious if anyone has been able to parlay a hidden city ticket plan into two trips - for example:

Flying A-B, but adding C drops the fare by x%. Has interest in visiting C, but at a later date. Tickets A-B-C to get a lower fare for A-B, then lands in B, calls UA and reports something like "sorry, not feeling well, need to postpone C" then rebooks C for the date when they want to go there and remains in B.

Or will that result in a reprice, thus requiring C to then be dropped?
