As somebody who most frequently flies out of BWI, which had an earlier luggage cutoff time already, another 15 minutes isn't that big a deal.
Takes me back to 2007 or so, when my father rest his soul, he thought two hours before my flight was the right time to leave his home in Los Feliz through rush hour traffic to drop me at LAX. I got through the line and had to sign a thing saying UA was making no promises about my bag. I went upstairs to the checkpoint, stampeded down the concourse and made my flight with a couple minutes to spare. The rest of the day did not go so smoothly (ORD and weather, you know how it is) but my bag did follow me. The whole incident put the fear in me and now I am neurotic about getting to the airport super early.
