Overall, I liked the Grand Hyatt Hong Kong - though, I think it might be a bit expensive on average when compared to a property nearby like the St Regis. Alas, here are my impressions:

Neutral:
  • Only upgraded to a One King Harbour View on a relatively middling floor - did have a Harbour view, though
  • Welcome gift was just fruit
  • I would normally find the lounge breakfast to be a bit limited - it would good because of the ham and cheese croissant, but I don’t think you can rely on that - omelet was kind of oddly small

Pros:
  • Bed was relatively comfortable - firmish mattress, decently plush covers, plush pillows
  • Shower pressure was strong and great
  • Automated window coverings
  • Chromecast present on the TV
  • Offered late checkout proactively - no issue with 4 PM
  • Evening service drinks are quite good - tried a margarita and espresso martini
  • Ham and cheese croissant at lounge breakfast was very good, especially when paired with nearby garlic cheese spread
  • Front desk staff and lounge staff (including Scott) were quite friendly

Cons:
  • Not a fan of iced latte at afternoon tea - tasted watery

I wouldn’t mind returning.
