I found
an official looking policy online for TAs which says:
'In the event of a schedule change on Kenya Airways operated flights or codeshare partners and ticket issued in 706 paper you can offer the below options to the passengers.
Options available:
1. Offer Kenya Airways flight operating on the same day or +/-2 or 3 days before or after the original departure date which is suitable. Rebooking must be completed in the same booking class/cabin. If the same class is not available, please rebook in the next available class and they will assist you in obtaining the correct booking class.'
I called the ticket office in London and the agent *seemed* to know about this, looked for my preferred alternative but didn't see any availability (I could see availability live on KQ website on the call), which makes me think he wasn't trying. Since then I've tried emailing but keep getting offered a paid change for $$.
Does anyone know if the excerpt above is correct for KQ-issued tickets? Is it just a case of HUACA.. and again... and again...?
These are award tickets? Issued by? Asking because agent replied "no availability" which seems to suggest that there is no award availability.
