If you drop domestic locations {USA-UA, UK-BA) the difference is much small and may be in BA's favor.
If you are a domestic USA flyer, BA makes little sense , the same if originating in the USA to Pacific destinations. But in other parts of the world BA makes lots of sense.
Remember FT is a worldwide community and the most active forum is BA. UA is close but distinctly less.
