After looking out my window in Canada after a recent record snowfall, I thought it might be appropriate to head to a more "beachy" hot place for a well deserved vacation...and it might be nice to deplete some of my stash of BA miles in the process... I was initially thinking YVR to Hawaii or Grand Cayman on a BA partner, but maybe a european locale could work also.

The question is, Can I use BA miles for a BA vacations package (air hotel), and if so what is the best time of year to do so ??

or is it better to use miles or pay for the flight/ hotel..or some combination thereof..

Any ideas on this and suggested locations would be much appreciated.
