Dear Flyertalkers,

I’ve seen many threads discussing seats, but I haven’t found one that 'ranks' them in order of preference. So, thank you for your patience and guidance in advance. As a single traveller flying with ANA for the first time, I will be in Business Class on their 787-9 aircraft, specifically both international versions 48J and 40J on 4 upcoming long haul flights.

My questions are:

• How would you rank the following seats (or others!) in order of preference: 2K, 3A, 4K, 5A, and 6K? These are all currently available for selection.

• On one of the flights, my only options are 7A, 12A, or 13K. I would appreciate any insights on these seats.

• Is 1A really the holy grail, if I can select it over all other seats at check-in?
