Two more questions

  1. I have a backup flight on AC booked for 12 pm today. If WS cancels again, can I fly on AC and seek compensation later? (i.e., get WS to pay for the AC flights, as if they had rebooked me on AC)
  2. Given that my WS flight is currently delayed, not canceled, should I wait to see what happens with the WS flight? Or would I be better off taking my 12 pm backup flight on AC? (which I presume would forfeit my WS flight)
Looking forward to a fun day of stress and contingency planning!
