Scared ill missed my connecting flight, I do have an option of a 4 hr layover, but thinking maybe to get home quickly, as would be coming from europe and will be tired and maybe not wanting to hang at the lounge.
If your objective is a chance of getting home quickly, logically you should continue with the 1 hour layover. If you miss the connecting flight, SQ would put you on the next flight departing 3 hours later anyway, and you'd get your 4 hour layover.
