This is peak vacation time, so families and groups of people traveling together. I'm a solo business traveler looking for some peace, quiet and relaxation, so just not my thing. At least not tonight. Maybe on a Tuesday evening in October it will be just what I need.
Delta One seats out of JFK is a fixed number during the summer months on wide body jets (remember that Delta has a shortage of wide bodies and why the LATAM A359 are flying without PS cabin since they can’t take these jets out of service for a retro). The only variable to enter the Delta One lounge will be 360’s flying F domestically and a guest costs $100–I highly doubt a lot of 360’s are flying on a Saturday evening. I have a feeling this is how this lounge will be going forward this summer packed, especially for the peak TATL departure banks. Remember there is no 3 hr time limit for local JFK customers, as they can arrive for lunch and dinner at the D1 lounge.
