Help -- Portion of Summer Award Trip Canceled
I called Aeroplan yesterday to try to make a minor change to an itinerary this summer that I booked through AC to Europe in business class. Just by coincidence, the agent informed me that the *A carrier (SAS) that I am supposed to fly over canceled my intra-Europe flight. The only options that I was offered as a fix were (1) multiple connection itineraries with connections that while "legal" I know I will not make, or (2) flights to other cities in Europe 4 hours away from my destination.
They said, flat out, that they will not simply rebook me in business class on another *A carrier and that my only options are these ridiculous itineraries ("sorry, there is nothing that we can do to help you").
I can't believe how AC is handling this! Has anyone encountered this before?
