For me staying at Rio is a mixed bag. It’s a decent room, though everything outside the room and on property is pretty crappy, there’s nothing to do nearby if you don’t have a car, especially if you’re traveling with young kids. You can trek to the Strip, but most days now is 105-120 degrees outside so it’s pretty draining. That said if they didn’t have Hyatt affiliation I’d never dream of gambling or even staying at Rio, even if they gave me $100 plus a free room.
