MCT at SFO shows as 0h35 since 04-Jan-22, and 0h40 if connecting from a widebody.

While I don't necessarily recommend it, that connection should not be a problem if the inbound arrives on time and pax is reasonably mobile. UA is unlikely to waive any costs associated with changing the ticket.
