Buy a ticket on Amex Travel to get the Amex Offer. Cancel the ticket via Delta and use that credit toward the companion fare.

I also have a current $100 eCredit from the Amex Reserve and confirmed that it's allowing me to use this toward the companion fare. But also checking that it will allow multiple eCredits (Reserve credit + previous ticket eCredits).
Thanks for any DPs.
If you buy a Delta ticket with Amex Travel, that ticket can only be reused via Amex Travel, or you can pay Delta a $50 fee for them to take over the ticket so it can be used directly with Delta ... but then you would be losing money on the Amex Offer. There are some oddball cases where you can get around the $50 fee (Delta ends up taking over the ticket if you do a same day change, for example, so theoretically you may be able to engineer to do that and then cancel for a credit), but generally I'd say let the Amex Offer go.
