BA's agent K2, along with the application of the 20% depreciation policy told me that they no longer replace Rimowa luggage!

A suitcase which will cost 1300GBP to replace, and was in good condition (I normally don't fly with it) yielded a compensation offer of 234 GBP.
Two points here (this is really a daft post btw...) and this is nothing to do with BA:

1) The US is notorious for damaging suitcases. I had my 'Get July' suitcase broken flying AUS to LAX. I emailed July to ask how it could be fixed and they said 'you need to mail it to Australia!'. I ditched it my hotel in LA. I once saw my bag being loaded in BNA by the ground crew and he almost threw it over his shoulder onto the belt up to the plane. I also had a Rimowa break also flying into AUS from CHI.

I've never had any damage to any bag flying BA into or out of Europe. Only within the US.

2) What's the logic of telling us the price of your suitcase? Perplexing. Anyway, my Rimowa was replaced entirely (didn't even try and fix it), no fuss whatsoever, unlike the OP.

Point is here, there's literally zero logic blaming BA for US ground crew and how they handle luggage.
