I have an upcoming trip and have the option of a 90 mins transfer in DOH to my connecting flight or arrive on an earlier fight and have 4 hours. Luckily I am in J so can utilise the lounge but I will have a checked bag. I think 90 mins should suffice but my journey originates at the delay prone LHR and with the baggage I am unsure. Nothing can obviously be 100% guaranteed but curious as to what others would choose maybe based off of past experiences. Thanks
I try to avoid 90 minute connections, even at HIA, which is definitely one of the more efficient airports that I transit. I don't want to risk a late inbound flight, bus gate, or anything else that might delay me, and thus increase my stress level unnecessarily.
If you can't avoid the shorter connection, you might want to consider Al Maha transit service.
Link. It's part of QR, and they will be able to get you through the airport and to your connection a bit more quickly than otherwise. They can also arrange an electric cart transfer if your gates are far from each other.
