Regardless, what exactly is AA going to pay for? Why didn't you fly to Miami? The flight to Miami was delayed, and not cancelled?
AA sold a 54 minute layover on the "busiest travel day of the year". Poor planning. Having a 180min minimum connection time requirement on every itinerary that day would have been the better option for AA sales!
