Interesting, is this a change? I was always understood it to be "paid F class" only as well and NOT award F tickets. I believe a couple years baclk at SFO I was even denied access as I was flying with an award ticket. I have since used the lounge many times on typically on trips to Hawaii out of SFO but only on paid F tickets.
