Sorry to be blunt, but if you aren't a frequent flyer on intercontinental or higher-spending class of service, there's no short-cut method otherwise everyone would have Platinum.
What i mean is that if i booked my previous flights in a diffirent way i could have probably earned the gold level, while i am currently in explorer.

Honestly, Silver is just really an additional bagage and the choice of whatever nice seats are available H-24 before départ. I wouldn't spend a ton of effort or money deliberately trying to get or keep silver. But that's just my opinion.
Oke, i am just a newbe, but i see whole sections of this forum dedicated to this, or did i see that wrong? Thats what drew me here.
