Had my last three stays with cash payments of less than $10 all post the nights. Two gave no points while the third gave me full points on the $6 payment.

Net, I think its pretty much 100% to get the night credit but 40/60 to get any sort of points.

I suspect point earning is on the hotel's end and how well they handle things. Some of the nights post almost immediately which implies they don't review it and its hard coded in their system. Others take awhile which gives me the suspicion the hotel does some audit first. I've had points post and not post in both situations. So, go figure really!
