Just some good news today for folks not familiar with this. We had a planned 2.5 hour connection (2 hours after deplaning) ANA > DL back to USA.
1. Landed ANA domestic ITM > HND in T2.
2. Walked about 3-5 minutes, went downstairs, and took free bus to T3. It’s pretty far regardless of how you transfer.
3. Note this does not (obviously) put you behind security. It feeds in behind CUPPS check in booths (we walked through large sliding door and past Delta).
4. Thankfully there was literally no one in (international) security 90-110 mins before flight.
5. Through security, scans, customs, immigration in 5-10 minutes. Max.
6. Got to spend 25 mins in Delta Sky Club.
Side note - our DL bags interlined with ANA. After checking them, they nearly immediately showed in the Delta app as a foreign carrier bag (with associated tag number). Then showed on DL plane ~30 mins before flight.
Also premium select appears as "First Class" in ANA.
buuuuut…. In the interim, our AirTags didn’t work for sh-t. Not sure if it’s the metal ULD’s… or airport workers use Android. But was touch and go for a bit when bags were still showing at origin.
