I imagine it will be rather small but solid lounge. Another interesting idea is if CX starts a partnership with B6 for more US JFK domestic feed, just like BA did. And they could permit arrival passengers to use the lounge while on their layover.
There's almost no chance that Cathay would open its JFK lounge to the PP crowd. Cathay surely wants to maintain its reputation in the lounge business. I can see B6, instead of building its own lounge, would want to strike a deal with CX so its Mint passengers (and perhaps some of its top elites) can use the CX lounge.

The JFK lounge is going to be nearly 10,000 sqft, so it's about the same size as most other CX outstation lounges.
