I'm not sure where the assumption that the poster's wife "can't handle the child on her own" comes from, because it doesn't seem to be supported by the post. The issue as explained was that the LH FA's wouldn't allow her to stand up to soothe the child. The mention of UA FAs kindly offering to hold a baby for a while has nothing to do with this.
