Your partner will be in their “new” TP collection year beyond 8th August so a nomination after this time should result in a card that lasts until April 30th 2026. Traditionally the advice would have been to wait until after current card expiry (i.e. 30th September 2024) if they already have status. If you nominate now (before their year end) their new status will expire 30th September 2025.

You won’t receive new cards to nominate at your own year end this year (8th September 2024) but you will receive new partner cards on 1st April 2025.

Jokers on the other hand- the 2 you have received now will expire if unused on 8th September and will be replaced with new ones.
