I have heard mixed things on using for it for an actual reaction though so glad to know it sounds like it is becoming more concrete. I will make sure I always carry it now as well.

also always have omeprazole on me as well as I have to take it every day, so that is cool to know that it could possibly yep. (for those asking, yes, I am basically a walking CVS at this point.)
My patients are ICU ones so we still use Benadryl since it can be given IV. But I agree Zyrtec will work just as well and not make you as drowsy.

Also - omeprazole won't help you (for an allergic reaction) - it's not an antihistamine, its a proton pump inhibitor. You'd need Pepcid (famotidine) which blocks a different histamine receptor than Zyrtec for it to work for an allergic reaction. We also use this frequently at my hospital.
