As long as the flight has a United flight number (although codeshare) there won't be any possibility to advance reserve a seat with TK. The soonest you can select a seat is when checkin opens.
That's the downside of codeshare flights across almost all airline alliances. I run into this problem way too often and avoid codeshare flight numbers where possible.
