I don't see what the problem is. There have been Air Marshalls on US domestic flights and International flights by American owned airlines for years and I'm yet to hear of a situation where a plane has had a serious incident because of it.

This paranoia is in line with the British mentality that stops them from arming most of their police officers IMO.
