Family had their flight BA flight delayed due to the original flight coming in from LHR getting delayed in the first place. The departure was delayed by four hours and the arrival at LHR is now set for around four hours after the scheduled arrival time as well.

We’re planning to make claims for compensation but I know it also depends on the circumstances of the delay. How do we find out the reason for the delay of the first flight?
