I have 10 nights in Seychelles, was planning 8 nights (on points) at WA and 2 (cash) on Mahe. Based off your feedback I may try and do all 10 nights at WA. It's just we have a really late flight on departure day and would have a ton of time in between WA transfer flight and departure flight - so was thinking better to spend a night or two on Mahe prior to departure.
Generally, during our trip in early June, more seagrass was washing up on the west side of the island. Unfortunately most of the villas are on that side as well. Looking at the map below, the areas with the most dead seagrass on and along the shore were in the areas with the red line. Our Villa (#9) was along the yellow line, which was better, although it still had some dead seagrass. The areas circled in blue are the two “sandbar” areas that I thought were very nice. The southern one is Shark Point Beach. We did not spend much time on the east side of the island but it seemed to have less seagrass issues when we were there. I would request a villa towards the far north or south, and I don’t think it’s unreasonable to request one with minimal seagrass on the beach. If given a preference, Shark Point Beach was the better of the two locations, although both are nice. Just keep in mind that I think those villas in the 20’s and low 30’s had the worst areas, even though they are close to Shark Point Beach.

Regarding your number of nights at the WA, that is personal preference. Personally, if I had 10 days to spend in Seychelles I would have split it between the WA and some of the more iconic beaches on Mahe, Praslin or La Digue. If you spend all 10 nights at the WA, you should be content with a very low-key, isolated and quiet vacation with a very natural and beautiful, but less than perfect beach. I would not go here if snorkeling is a must do as there are better locations for that. Perhaps unsurprisingly, you will have immaculate accommodations and excellent service at the WA.
