Has anyone used the credit upon renewal to book a hotel, and then cancelled a card? P2 annual fee is coming in July and there is a trip we absolutely will be taking in October that I need to pay for the hotel room.

What happens if I book using the credit on renewal, then cancel the card. Does the hotel reservation still exist or is it lost as well?
