Hi,

I booked a flight using the BA Amex 241 voucher (free version) and have been assigned X class for the ticket (as is normal for redemptions). However, it still asks me to pay to choose seats further than 24 hours before departure. I am silver, as is my travelling partner (not that that makes any difference as it's my booking).

Is this a BAIT issue, or do redemption fare classes really not let you select seats for free based on EC status?
