Excessive for you.

If I told Mrs. Dog that we were going to be sitting in 20 A/B and my kids sitting in row 40, she'd tell me to go back to row 40 as she didn't want the kids to be separated from us. So, depending on the rules of the house, it may not be excessive. I generally don't drink on planes and the snacks don't mean much to me, but the legroom means everything... so $50 for each passenger is just fine with me and is "worth it." But that's based on my own financial circumstances.

Want to know what I'm not going to do? Pay $84 for an upgrade to F from SAV-ATL when I have 19A on a 757 and only a small messenger bag. But that's for another thread, I guess.
