The final price is always whatever the market accepts. If passengers were willing to pay even more, Lufthansa would be charging even more anyway. It's not like they used to offer lower prices than they had to out of kindness and now EU forced them to increase them.
It's mere politics and it won't work anyway - it will create some controversy for a few weeks and then everyone will forget about it. Virtually no one looks at the fees breakdown.
The only impact this could possibly have is the award fees. But then again, if LH wants to devalute M&M, it would do so anyway.
