I have two flights A-B and B-C. On the app it shows plenty of different same day change options for A-B but not for A-C or B-C. I could clearly see there is an earlier flight for B-C so I would like to take it but it is not shown on the app. I talked to the agent and she told me I could only do it after I finish A-B as it is segment wise. She also told me she could not help me even though I already checked in for the whole itinerary. Is that true that I need to finish A-B first? This doesn’t surprise me, although it does seem a bit annoying. Was she open to putting you onto an A-C option? You only mentioned the earlier B-C flight, so wondering if that would have worked
Typically once your flight takes off the coupon is lifted (not sure if my terminology is accurate) and you’ll be able to make changes to the next part of your itinerary. So if it comes to that you don’t need to wait until after the flight segment is completed but you’d be able to do it in the air
